I am most experienced at DK tanking, Boomkin and Tree Healing.
Melee DPS is something new to me. Can anyone give some advice on rotations and how to stay in range when a tank is moving a boss / mob?

I can't help you on rotation, due to the fact the new patch came out and changed a lot of things. I know that Camyy is working on a new rotation and will let us know when it is done so Alenea and I can get a hold of it.
But I can tell you to stay in range of a moving boss/mob..... Move with it.

Sometimes you HAVE to move the target around.
Look around during the fight, there's fire, environmental hazard, poisons, mobs, lava, stationary debuffs. There are tons of reasons for a tank to keep a mob moving. As melee DPS, I would say stay behind the mob so the target can't parry or dodge (they can't when attacked from behind) and you do more damage. Keep moving with the target.
